This restaurant specializes in the mouthwatering Indonesian cuisine that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike. Are you ready to embark on a flavor journey that highlights the quintessential dish of ayam penyet?
At Ayam Penyet Kak T, the ambience is vibrant yet casual, making it a perfect spot for both quick lunches and relaxed dinners. As you step inside, the inviting aromas of freshly cooked chicken and spicy sambal waft through the air, promising a delightful dining experience. Be prepared for a warm and welcoming atmosphere, but do expect a bit of heat from the kitchen—literally! Add that to the lively chatter of satisfied customers, and you’ll quickly understand why this place is a popular lunch stop for many, especially those working nearby in Putrajaya and Cyberjaya.
While there may be moments of a bustling queue—especially during lunchtime—the dazzling dishes served here make the wait well worth it. As BT noted, it’s a “worth the travel” experience for a meal costing around RM14, combining value with fantastic taste. Popular dishes include their signature nasi ayam penyet, which features a perfectly fried quarter chicken served alongside vibrant sides like fried shrimps, tempeh, soup, and fresh veggies. It's a feast that explodes with flavor! And according to ALS, the generous sambal served is a highlight, even if it leans towards milder heat for those with lower spice tolerances. You'll also be delighted to know that you can enjoy an unlimited supply of sambal and petai, making every bite more thrilling!
But the excitement doesn’t stop at chicken. If you're unfortunate enough to find the ayam sold out, fear not! They offer scrumptious alternatives such as perfectly fried pomfret, praised by Ry ae for its crispy skin and flaky texture. Each dish embodies a commitment to quality and authenticity, making every meal a celebration of Indonesian cuisine.
While the hustle can lead to packed seating and a bit of warmth, the friendliness and efficiency of the staff shine through. As noted by Hasnida Mohamad Hashim, peak hours still result in fast service, enabling you to dig into your meal without a long wait. Whether it’s for a quick takeaway or a sit-down feast, Ayam Penyet Kak T ensures you'll always leave satisfied.

Ayam was sold out so only fish options left, tried pomfret (bawal) at it was fried to perfection. Additional shrimp on the side was good n fresh, even i can chew all the crispy skin altogether

The food was really good and affordable, really taste the sambal well but the thing i don't like is how you can feel the hot from the kitchen and outside, for takeaway i would highly recommend this place if you looking for ayam penyet

First and foremost you should know before coming: Expect waiting for your food. And I mean wait. The stall is usually almost full to full around lunch hour, and so the queue will be long. I've gone twice to this place, and each time I had to wait more than 35 minutes after ordering. But having said that, the Ayam Penyet is quite delicious. Considering that it's properly prepared (only fried the chicken when the orders are in - the correct way), so I'd say the wait is fully warranted and worth the time. My only criticism would be the sambal is tame and not spicy at all. Even when you ask for extras. I think they put tomatoes in them, making it more watery and less spicy. But other than that, the place is pretty good. My only advice is go as early as you can. If you can't, then be prepared to wait a while. That's all.

Dear lord, this place is scorching hot! I’m not sure who’s being fried here: the ayam penyet or me But heat aside, their nasi ayam penyet is one of the best! The full set includes a quarter chicken, 3 fried shrimps, tempeh, soup and veggies for RM13. Minus 1 star because everything was a bit too oily for my liking. The sambal isn’t spicy at all, but that depends on your heat tolerance. If you’ve never been to the area, you gotta be on the lookout for a hidden stall on your left, about 200m from the main entrance. Be prepared to wait because this place is usually packed around lunchtime. Or you can do it like us and just show up earlier Go give them a try!

The owner and staff were friendly. The service was fast too even though we came during peak hour. Our food was served hot especially the chicken. 5-pc shrimps are inclusive with the rice set. Here, you can have sambal and petai as much as you can eat…for free. The price for 1 set ranges from RM10-RM13. The perfect time to be here is around 11.30am and 2.30pm. Otherwise, this place will be crowded. Customers have to park by the roadside as parking is limited.
